Travel Documents
Before traveling, make sure you have ALL travel documents updated and in hand.
Passport Recommend application time is at least 3 months before travel. For U.S. citizens, passports will be mandatory effective December 31, 2006 and onwards for travel in Caribbean, Mexico and Canada.

Don't hand over to unauthorized personnel
Have a copy of first page and proof of U.S. citizenship in a separate location (in case it would get stolen)

Have copies of all important documents and travel aids

Ask for generic name for medication in case there are translation barriers
